Super quick here, I have 36 hours to do 48 hours worth of whatever

If you didn't already see the dialogue workshop, look at it real quick (or real in-depth) because this is the prompt that goes with the workshop.

raspil.deviantart.com/journal/…

seriously, go read it, this is not a joke or a test or any kind of bullshit.

now for the good stuff

I was talking with neurotype-on-discord in the CRLiterature chat about this workshop before I even considered what the prompt was going to be but I knew I wanted it to be different from what I've seen associated with dialogue workshops before and she came up with the idea.  It's all on her.  her idea.  100% credit where credit is due.

:star:  Write a story about two people talking about the weather.  :star:

but remember, LOOK AT THE WORKSHOP.  don't just write some dumb ass story, use the guidelines in the shop.  i want two characters with both of them having conflict and motivation and I WANT THEIR CONFLICTS AND MOTIVATIONS TO COME OUT IN THEIR DIALOGUE WITHOUT THEM ACTUALLY SAYING WHAT THEIR CONFLICT AND MOTIVATIONS ARE.  the better you know who you're writing about, the better the story will be regardless of the prompt.

i'm gonna be judging these so hard, it's not even funny.  i know when you phone it in, folks.

the other stuff
Word minimum is 750, max is 1500.  FFM is at our feet, after all.
Any POV, any genre.
Due July 31st.
Remember to link back to the prompt in your artist comments.

I gotta go but if you have questions or issues, note me or hit me up right below in the comments.

Holy moly, thank you.

I'm working on the third complete rewrite of this story I wrote over a year ago, and I think this is the first time "show, don't tell" really clicked. I just wrote a scene that I actually feel really good about. Not anywhere near long enough for this prompt, but now that I can see what I'm doing I'll have to tackle the rest of the story.
